Straight-match vertical strips on uniform-height walls. Offset/drop matches, obstacles and batch alignment need a separate layout. Openings are not subtracted because cuts may still require full strips.

How this was calculated

Cut length = wall height + trim, rounded up to a whole vertical repeat when a repeat is entered.

Strips per roll = floor(roll length ÷ cut length).

Rolls = ceil[(ceil(wall width ÷ roll width) + spare strips) ÷ strips per roll].

Formula and method

Round wall height plus trim up to a whole pattern repeat. Divide roll length by that strip length and round down; divide required strips by strips per roll and round up.

Worked example

A 2.5 m wall with 0.1 m trim and 0.32 m repeat needs 2.88 m strips. A 10 m roll yields three complete strips.

Frequently asked questions

Can this handle a drop-match pattern?

No. It assumes straight-match vertical strips on walls of one height. Offset matches and complex wall layouts need a product-specific cutting plan.
