Understanding density units
Density combines mass and volume. 1 g/cm³ = 1,000 kg/m³ exactly. Converting the units does not account for changes in material temperature, pressure or composition. US gallon units use the US liquid gallon.
Conversion method
For linear units, multiply the input by its factor to the base unit, then divide by the target factor. The table lists definitions where exact and approximate constants where applicable.
