Arithmetic runs in your browser. Calculator settings may be included in shareable URLs. These URLs can remain in browser history and are sent to the hosting provider when opened. Review a link before sharing sensitive information.

Calculator inputs and shared links

We do not send a separate calculation request to a server. Most calculators update the address bar with settings so a link can reproduce the result. Opening or sharing that URL can disclose its query parameters to the recipient and hosting infrastructure. Closing a tab does not necessarily remove its address from browser history.

Our analytics integration removes query parameters and fragments from page URLs before reporting them. Performance events contain metric values and page paths, not calculator inputs.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical information needed to deliver pages: your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you request, and timestamps. This is used to serve the site, diagnose faults, and protect against abuse.

Cookies and local storage

Our own code sets no tracking cookies. Some calculators may use your browser's local storage to remember a preference such as your choice of units, which stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Calxy does not show advertising, so no advertising partner sets cookies or similar identifiers on this site.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which site or search engine a visitor arrived from, and the country, browser and device type. It does not use cookies, does not store an identifier on your device, and does not track you across other websites; visits are counted in aggregate and cannot be traced back to you. Calculator values are excluded from our analytics events. We also measure page performance, including loading, responsiveness and layout shifts.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information; we collect none beyond the technical data described above. Third-party services are limited to hosting and analytics. We load no advertising, social widgets or tracking pixels.

Advertising

Calxy is free to use and does not show advertising. No advertising network or consent manager is loaded, and no information about your visits is used for ad targeting. The values you enter into a calculator never leave your browser.

If this ever changes, we will update this policy before any advertising appears and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data beyond transient server logs, there is generally nothing to access or delete — but you are welcome to ask.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes to how data is handled will be described rather than made silently.
