Information you enter into calculators

Nothing you enter into a calculator leaves your device. All arithmetic is performed locally by JavaScript running in your browser. Income figures, loan amounts, weights, dates of birth, and every other input exist only in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close or reload the page.

Because we never receive this data, we cannot disclose it, lose it in a breach, or be compelled to hand it over.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical information needed to deliver pages: your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you request, and timestamps. This is used to serve the site, diagnose faults, and protect against abuse.

Cookies and local storage

Our own code sets no tracking cookies. Some calculators may use your browser's local storage to remember a preference such as your choice of units, which stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Our advertising partners may set cookies and similar identifiers of their own to deliver and measure ads. How that works, and how to control it, is described under Advertising below.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which site or search engine a visitor arrived from, and the country, browser and device type. It does not use cookies, does not store an identifier on your device, and does not track you across other websites; visits are counted in aggregate and cannot be traced back to you. Nothing you enter into a calculator is ever included.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information; we collect none beyond the technical data described above. The only third-party code on the site comes from our advertising partners, described next. We load no social widgets or tracking pixels of our own.

Advertising

Calxy is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party advertising networks. To show ads that are relevant to you and to measure their performance, these networks may place cookies or use similar identifiers on your device and may use information about your visits to this and other websites. Advertisers do not receive the values you enter into any calculator — those never leave your browser.

Where the law requires it, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the privacy settings link in the footer. Elsewhere you can opt out of personalised advertising through your browser settings, through Google's Ads Settings, or via industry opt-out tools such as aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less personalised.

Each advertising partner handles data under its own privacy policy, which governs what it collects and how long it keeps it. We list our current partners here and update this section when they change.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data beyond transient server logs, there is generally nothing to access or delete — but you are welcome to ask.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes to how data is handled will be described rather than made silently.
