Every calculator should answer its stated question and explain enough of the method for the result to be understood.

Useful content

We write for the calculation being performed. Explanations cover formulas, units, examples and limitations where useful. We do not require a fixed word count or fill pages with repeated questions.

Sources and attribution

We prefer original standards, government publications and research papers for technical claims. References identify their publishers and link to the source. Citing an institution does not imply that it endorses Calxy.

Authorship and review

Tools are published by Calxy. We do not claim a named expert review unless a real reviewer has completed that work and their involvement can be identified. No professional qualification is implied by the publisher byline.

Corrections

When an error is confirmed, the correction should address the calculation or explanation and include a regression check when appropriate. Please include the calculator URL, units, inputs, expected result and supporting reference when reporting a problem.

Advertising

Advertising placements are separate from calculator inputs and results. An advertisement is not a source or an endorsement. Reserved ad space is designed to prevent a late-loading advertisement from moving the calculator.
