Method
Each die produces an integer from 1 to its number of sides. Browser random values are sampled with rejection to avoid modulo bias. For n dice with s sides, the expected total is n(s+1)/2.
Worked example
Two six-sided dice can total 2–12, and their expected average total is 7. A total of 7 has six ordered outcomes out of 36; a total of 2 has only one.
Assumptions and limits
Choose 1–100 dice with 2–1,000 sides each. Results are generated only after pressing Roll dice and are not predetermined. Sharing preserves settings, not the outcome; this is not an audited gambling system.
