Formula and method
Model BAC in g/dL = ethanol grams ÷ (body mass in kg × distribution coefficient) ÷ 10 − elimination rate × hours, with a mathematical floor at zero.
Worked example
With 28 g ethanol, 70 kg body mass, coefficient 0.68 and an assumed elimination of 0.015 g/dL/hour for two hours, the model gives about 0.029 g/dL. This is not a measured concentration.
